Seasonal Financial Planning Programme

Learn to manage your money around the natural rhythms of the year – because your finances don't follow a straight line, and your planning shouldn't either.

Why Seasonal Financial Planning Actually Works

Most financial advice pretends your expenses are the same every month. But anyone living in Australia knows that's not how it works. Summer means higher electricity bills and school holidays. Winter brings heating costs and medical expenses. Christmas requires extra cash. And tax time? Well, that's its own beast.

This programme teaches you to plan around these predictable patterns instead of being surprised by them every year. We focus on building systems that actually fit how money flows in and out of your life across the seasons.

Pattern recognition: You'll learn to spot your own financial cycles and build buffers in the right places. Most people don't realise they have patterns until someone shows them how to look.
Practical forecasting: We skip the complex spreadsheets and teach simple methods you'll actually use. If a tool takes more than five minutes to update, you won't use it – so we don't teach those.
Real adjustments: Financial plans need to flex with life changes. We show you how to adjust your approach when circumstances shift without starting over from scratch.

Programme Structure

Eight months divided into four phases, each building on the last. We move through an entire financial year together so you experience each season's challenges and opportunities as we learn.

1

Foundation Phase

July – August 2026

We start with winter because it's when many Australian households face their highest utility costs. You'll map your current financial patterns, identify seasonal pressure points, and set up basic tracking systems. The first in-person workshop happens in early August where we analyse everyone's patterns together.

2

Preparation Phase

September – October 2026

Spring brings its own challenges – end of financial year reviews, rate notices, and registration renewals all tend to cluster here. We focus on building anticipation skills and creating cash reserves for known future expenses. You'll develop your first full-year forecast during this phase.

3

Peak Management Phase

November – December 2026

Summer and Christmas create the year's most complex financial period. You'll learn to navigate holiday spending, manage competing demands, and maintain your financial plan during peak consumption season. Our second workshop in mid-November covers crisis prevention strategies when everything hits at once.

4

Integration Phase

January – February 2027

The new year brings fresh energy and the chance to refine your approach based on what you've learned. We help you integrate seasonal planning into permanent habits, adjust your systems based on real results, and prepare for the next full cycle. The final workshop in early February focuses on making these practices stick long-term.
